LayerZero Introduces New Claim Mechanism, Pledges $18.5 Million to Ethereum Developer ProtocolGuild

According to Odaily, LayerZero has announced the introduction of a new claim mechanism called 'Proof of Donation'. This innovative mechanism is set to donate approximately $18.5 million to ProtocolGuild, a financing protocol for Ethereum developers.

To claim ZRO, users are required to donate $0.10 in USDC, USDT, or native ETH for each ZRO. These small donations will go directly to ProtocolGuild. In a move to encourage more donations, the LayerZero Foundation has committed to match all donations, up to a maximum amount of $10 million.

This initiative by LayerZero not only provides financial support to ProtocolGuild but also promotes the active participation of users in the donation process. By matching the donations, LayerZero is effectively doubling the impact of each individual contribution, thereby significantly boosting the overall funding for ProtocolGuild.
